How safe are NACCI Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries?
Our LiFePO4 batteries are non-flammable, non-combustible, and non-hazardous due to their superior olivine crystal chemical structure. When subjected to hazardous collisions or external short-circuiting, they will not explode or release toxic gases, significantly protecting human safety.
What is a BMS, what does it do, and where is it located?
BMS stands for Battery Management System. It acts as the intelligent guardian for every cell inside the pack, protecting against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and extreme temperature conditions. Our systems feature Over-the-Air (OTA) remote telemetry and intelligent cell balancing.
What is the expected design life and cycle life of NACCI batteries?
NACCI batteries are rated for 3,500 to 6,000 deep cycles. The overall design life is 10 to 15 years, backed by our 5-year replacement warranty. Upgrading from lead-acid saves up to 70% in total battery expenditure over 5 years.
Can NACCI batteries operate in freezing winter conditions?
Yes. Our standard packs discharge reliably down to -20°C (-4°F). With our optional built-in PTC self-heating technology, the battery automatically preheats cells before charging in freezing sub-zero environments, preventing lithium dendrite formation.
Can lithium batteries be charged anytime (Opportunity Charging)?
Absolutely. Unlike lead-acid batteries which suffer from memory effect and require rigid 8-hour uninterrupted charge cycles, LiFePO4 batteries thrive on opportunity charging. Plug them in during lunch breaks or shift pauses to keep equipment running 24/7 without degrading cell life.
